Growing To Give: Food Security & Ending Hunger, Tomato Volcanoes, Crop Circle Farms & Gardens

Imagine a world where the most resourceful and productive community gardens and urban farms thrive, nourishing communities with fresh and sustainable produce. Now, imagine those farms and gardens having a way to grow food affordably for years to come. That's what we're all about at Growing to Give — cultivating food security through innovation in agriculture.

Agriculture is more than survival for people in need. It’s a source of pride and purpose, a way to connect with the land and with each other. It’s a means to grow, give, learn new skills, and contribute to the common good. By promoting easy to grow farm and garden technologies, Growing to Give is working to free millions from hunger and build resilient communities across America and around the world.

Our Vision

We envision a world where our unique agricultural technologies free people from hunger and alleviate the devastating effects of poverty.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower marginalized and climate-vulnerable communities to grow their own fresh produce, reducing reliance on traditional food distribution systems and enhancing food security, health and well-being.

Tomato Volcanoes: Where Innovation Meets Compassion

Traditional farming methods often fail in communities facing poor soil, water scarcity, extreme weather, and limited resources. Tomato Volcanoes solve these challenges by using a natural growing system that produces more tomatoes with less water, no harmful chemicals, and minimal land space. Each Tomato Volcano can grow thousands of pounds of tomatoes in a small 10-foot round footprint, making it ideal for community farm and gardens.

Unlike conventional trellised tomato farming, Tomato Volcanoes allow plants to grow naturally, forming living domes of fruit without tying, cages, or constant replanting. In a seasonal environment, thousands of tomatoes can be harvested in just a few months. In a controlled environment, they can produce continuously for up to two years — significantly reducing costs, labor, and waste. The elevated, ventilated structure reduces disease, protects plants from pests, and preserves precious water supplies, making it the most water-efficient tomato system in the world.

grow tomatoes

By placing a Tomato Volcano in a community garden or on an urban farm Growing to Give is empowering people not just to grow food — but to grow hope, dignity, and independence. These systems are designed to be taught, shared, and gifted forward, creating a ripple effect of abundance where need is the greatest. Every installed Tomato Volcano brings us one step closer to a world where no one goes without fresh, healthy food.

Help Us Help Others

You are welcome to support in whatever way feels right for you.

Make a donation

Twenty-Five Dollars Plants Seeds of Possibility

Your $25 donation helps us build a tomato seed bank — sourcing and storing the most resilient, region-specific tomato varieties from around the world. From heat-tolerant African heirlooms to salt-resistant island cultivars, each seed is carefully selected and stored to ensure we’re ready to grow tomatoes anywhere a Tomato Volcano is deployed. When disaster strikes or a new garden is launched, we don’t wait—we act. Having the right seed on hand means faster harvests, stronger plants, and locally adapted success stories. Your donation helps us maintain this living inventory, ensuring that every community we serve starts not just with hope, but with the seeds to feed themselves. This is more than a seed bank—it’s a global food security response system, powered by innovation and generosity.

What your gift does:

Collects and stores tomato seeds from around the world.

Conserves and protects heirloom tomato varieties.

Fifty Dollars Gets to the Root of the Problem

Your $50 donation helps build the heart of a Tomato Volcano system: the irrigation and nutrient delivery network that makes continuous, water-smart growing possible. This contribution funds the building of our pre-fertilized Root Tubes and 3-way Crop Circle Irrigators, designed to deliver moisture and nutrients directly to the root zone conserving water and boosting tomato yield. With your support, we get to the root of the problem—so others can grow their way out of hunger.

What your gift does:

Builds pre-fertilized Root Tubes.

Builds 3-way Crop Circle Irrigators.

Builds ready to install irrigation assemblies.

One Hundred Dollars Helps Build a Tomato Volcano

Your $100 donation helps build a Tomato Volcano — a durable, marine-grade stainless steel structure engineered to support over 5,000 pounds of tomatoes and last for decades. Designed for maximum sunlight exposure, this elevated system encourages vigorous flowering and abundant fruit set. Tomatoes hang like clusters of candy, easy to harvest, and accessible from all sides without bending or climbing. The raised design promotes air circulation, keeping plants dry and reducing disease, while creating a healthier growing environment from root to fruit. With your support, this volcano doesn’t erupt with lava — it erupts with life, nourishment, and harvests that can feed entire communities. .

What your gift does:

Helps build, ship and install a stainless-steel Tomato Volcano.
